User Guide

This guide explains what PivotPing screens do, how to read the data together and how to build a personal monitoring workflow.

PivotPing is provided solely as an aid for analysis and market monitoring. It is not investment advice.

01 · Quick Start

If you are new to the platform, the sequence below helps you set up a basic monitoring workflow quickly.

  1. Market Scan: Use filters, quick filters and sorting in Market Scan to narrow down symbols of interest.
  2. Use favorites and notes: Assign favorite levels to important symbols and add notes where needed.
  3. Check specialty scanners: Find additional candidates in Possible Reversals, Extreme Moves and 4H Consolidation.
  4. Set alerts: Use D1/T1 level alerts and Daily Sudden Move alerts on symbols you want to monitor.
  5. Validate on chart: Do not rely on a single score; review price structure, volume, levels and context together.
Important: Scanners produce candidates. No score, level, color or notification is a trading instruction by itself.

02 · What it does / does not do

PivotPing provides market data, technical indicators, automated scan results, structural levels, alerts and statistics as analysis and monitoring aids.

  • What it does It helps you filter symbols, find candidates, build personal favorite/note workflows and track technical events.
  • What it does not do It does not provide investment advice, make buy/sell calls, guarantee returns or make decisions on the user’s behalf.
Short summary: PivotPing is an analysis aid. Final judgement always belongs to the user.

03 · Market Scan

Compares Binance Futures symbols by price, market cap and multi-period performance. Filters, quick filters and sorting help you build a personal watchlist.

FieldHow is it used?
PriceCurrent symbol price at scan time.
Market CapHelps compare low / mid / large-cap names.
1D / 3D / 1W / 1MCompares price change across different periods; columns can be sorted A-Z / Z-A.
4H Dip / Peak · 1D Dip / PeakShows current percentage distance to structural D1/T1 levels.
Favorite / Alert / ChartOpen personal priority, alert settings and detailed chart review respectively.
My NotesThe My Notes filter button shows only symbols with saved notes.

04 · Favorite Levels

Each click on the favorite icon moves the symbol to the next personal priority level.

StateUse
☆Not a favorite.
🟡 WatchStandard monitoring.
🟢 ImportantSymbols watched more closely.
🔴 VIPHigh personal priority.
🔵 Close WatchA small set of symbols you want to watch very closely.
☆ → 🟡 → 🟢 → 🔴 → 🔵 → ☆

05 · My Notes

Lets you keep personal notes per symbol. Notes are private to your account and cannot be seen by other users. A note added to a symbol appears across supported PivotPing screens for the same user.

  • Yellow Note ▼: no note saved yet.
  • Green Note ▼: a note exists for the symbol.
  • Clicking opens an inline area where you can save, delete or close the note.
  • On screens with filter panels, the My Notes filter can show only symbols with saved notes.

06 · Possible Reversals

This screen finds symbols approaching major liquidity regions and classifies price behavior at the level.

  • Sweep: Brief move beyond a level / liquidity take.
  • Rejection: Rejection and return behavior near the level.
  • Continuation: Price continuing beyond the level.
  • Chart and alert: You can review the symbol on the chart and set D1/T1 alerts if needed.

07 · Extreme Moves

Tracks pullbacks after a main move. The goal is to see how much price has retraced and how much distance remains after a strong move.

FieldMeaning
Main MoveSize of the initial strong rise / decline wave.
Counter MoveThe pullback formed against the main move.
RetracedHow much of the main move has been retraced.
RemainingPercentage remaining until full retracement.
Current StateCurrent location of price relative to structural references.
Sorting and filtersUse column sorting on desktop, the Sort controls on mobile/tablet and the My Notes filter where available.

08 · 4H Consolidation — “Calm Before the Storm”

The goal is to find symbols that have stayed directionless in a narrow region for an extended period with significantly reduced volatility. The score does not predict breakout direction.

ColumnHow to read it
DurationNumber of closed 4H candles that meet the consolidation criteria.
RangePercentage width of the main price box. For the same duration, a narrower range is stronger.
ATR ContractionShows how much volatility has contracted versus the previous equal window.
Volume ContractionShows how much average volume has decreased versus the previous equal window.
DirectionlessnessIndicates price moved around a lot while making little net progress.
RegionLow / Mid / High position inside the recent 30-day range.
ScoreComposite score of duration, range, ATR, volume and stability.
Comment / Note / SortingYou can open the short comment, add notes and use sorting tools to refine the list.
Practical reading: Long duration + narrow range + high directionlessness + strong ATR contraction makes a candidate more notable.

09 · D1 / T1 Alerts

D1 indicates the structural low/support side and T1 indicates the structural high/resistance side. Separate alerts can be set for 4H and 1D.

BellMeaning
🟢There is at least one D1 alert.
🔴There is at least one T1 alert.
🟡Both D1 and T1 are being tracked.
☆ / empty bellNo active D1/T1 alert.

The system can track events such as roughly 2% and 1% approach, touch and structural changes. An alert is a technical condition notice, not a trading instruction.

10 · Daily Sudden Move Alert

It tracks intraday percentage movement using the daily open as the reference. This feature is independent from the Extreme Moves module and produces notifications based on thresholds set by the user. It notifies sudden rises and declines relative to the symbol’s opening price.

A notification says the condition occurred; it does not say price will continue or reverse.

11 · My Notifications

Your personal notification history where you can review S1/R1 and Daily Sudden Move notifications in one place.

  • D1/T1 approach and touch events
  • Structural level changes
  • Daily sudden move events

12 · Chart Analysis

Used to visually inspect candidates found by scanners across 4H / 1D / 1W / 1M timeframes. The 4H/1D Dip-Peak fields in Market Scan and the structural levels in the chart popup follow the same analysis logic.

  • D1: the nearest active structural low/support side below current price.
  • T1: the nearest active structural high/resistance side above current price.
  • Volume: helps compare current trading activity against selectable averages.
  • My Notes / Favorite / Alert: lets you connect to your personal workflow without leaving the chart.
  • Symbol Data: without leaving the chart, view current 4H consolidation, Extreme Move windows, Possible Reversal/Liquidity, S1/R1 levels and personal tracking status in one panel. The 6-Month Symbol Profile also summarizes historical extreme moves, biggest rise/fall, consolidation history, longest consolidation, low/high-zone visits, six-month price range and volatility profile.
Chart note: Lines, colors, levels and calculations on the chart are not buy/sell signals; they are analysis aids to be evaluated together.
