What does strong consolidation look like?

A long duration, narrow range, high directionlessness and clear ATR contraction together make a candidate more notable. Volume behavior adds supporting context.

What does it not mean?

A high consolidation score does not guarantee an upward or downward breakout. Consolidation is a screening aid for closer chart review.
